Where were you when you knew…
Something I say a lot in my Insta DMs: “Spicy is in the eye of the beholder”.
Meaning that what I find challenging as a parent, you might think is a cakewalk – and vice versa.
The moment I realized that my daughter was…built different?
It was the week in my mom group we discussed the benefits of daddy-daughter dates – they can be a helpful time for girls to learn how they wish to be treated by future partners.
I rushed home with great excitement to introduce the concept to my husband. He immediately humbled himself to our four-year-old boss babe and asked in his sweetest voice, “would you like to go on a daddy daughter date with me?”.
She gazed at him, assessing him, paused, and then summarily declared that, “Yes. I would very much like to go on a date with you.”
(So cute, right?! Be still my heart!)
“But…can mom come, and you can stay home?”
DANG. This girl’s gonna ask for what she wants and is not looking to please anyone.
So, yeah. That’s one moment when I knew.
But when I asked you all on Instagram when you knew you had a Spicy One, I was impressed by how many of you have known…pretty much from the start!
