Whether you're struggling daily or just want to repair your relationship skills — you shouldn't have to figure this out alone.
For parents of teens and tweens ages 11-18 — whether you're brand new to respectful parenting or have taken my classes before.
Is this you?:
You know what to do in theory — but when your teen is giving you attitude or breaking curfew, your stress makes you forget every parenting tool you've learned.
You're slipping back into old patterns — without regular check-ins, your parenting autopilot takes over and you find yourself lecturing and threatening just like your own parents did.
Other parents don't get it — most people think you should just "lay down the law" with teenagers, making you feel isolated in your commitment to respectful parenting.
You worry they're pulling away from you — will they come to you with the big stuff?
You need accountability to keep growing — sustained change takes practice and a safe place to process your parenting journey without judgment.
You need your real parenting questions answered by a mentor who’s actually raised teens and community who truly understand intense kids.
Why I Created Spicy One Society
When I was a teenager, my mom didn't have the skills I needed. I still remember being a sour-patch twelve-year-old moping into the kitchen on a school morning. Before a word was spoken, with her back to me as she fried bacon, my mother decreed, "Fix your face or leave my kitchen." She couldn't tolerate my adolescent funk. She needed peace at the cost of being available to listen and help me process my teenage angst.
What a balm it would have been to my torturous teen years if she could have tolerated my mood swings without it disrupting her internal climate. I ended up handling some difficult stuff on my own rather than going to her. Your child's not-okayness cannot make you not okay.
I've been through the teenage years with my own kids and figured out how to stay connected through it all. That's why I created Spicy Ones Society. These years are about learning to be the safe place your teen needs while they figure out who they're becoming. It's not about controlling them — it's about having other parents in your corner who understand that staying connected during adolescence is one of the most important things we can do as parents.
